*In Regards to "Maps"

In the past I had my suspicions with Kelly. The guitar riff/solo was just so damn cool and rockin' for its own good. So good...yet so familiar. I started piecing the puzzle together once Ted Leo did an acoustic medley of Since U Been Gone and Maps...hooked together by that riff. Then bam...I read an article on the Yeah Yeah Yeah's (Clap Your Hands Say Yeah Yeah Yeah, RS 998) mentioning the blatant YYY's rip-off Kelly did. Since then it's been brought up during conversation a number of times with friends and fellow Rolling Stone readers. I thought I'd make a nice Maps originals/covers/rip-offs post for you all:

Yeah Yeah Yeahs - "Maps"
Kelly Clarkson - "Since U Been Gone"
Ted Leo - "Since U Been Gone/Maps"(Acoustic Cover)
The Arcade Fire - "Maps"(Live Cover)

Oooh, thanks for this. I really love the Arcade Fire version! I could be going mad, but I think it was recorded for Jo Whiley's show on BBC Radio 1, so its kind of live in the studio rather than live - Its from the same segment of the show that spawned the Sugababes cover of I Bet You Look Good On The Dancefloor. Anyway, AF do it well!
Ted Leo's was cool too.
Cheers,
Ben
