The Lucksmiths - "Great Lengths"
I've been doing a full fledged search for new (to me) music. During this search I discovered The Lucksmiths. To put it simply, they're a modern day Smiths blended with Belle & Sebastian, with a few other subtle 80's influences in there too. Basically I'm in love, and more specifically I'm in love with their song "Great Lengths" of the 2005 album Warmer Corners. It's got some charming lyrics to say the least:"Remember that we were poor
Though so young as not to notice
We could ill-afford to paint the town
You had your father’s charm
And thus your mother’s Volvo
It wasn’t long before you drove me home"
