Ben There, Done That

By now you've caught on to my obsession with the one and only Ben Gibbard. Well, his solo show is still one and a half months away and I'm dieing. In response to this need for live Gibbard, I went searching around the internet, looking for old bootlegs...you know...the ones where people aren't outsinging the band to great hits like "I Will Follow You Into The Dark". I found a few Seattle shows back in 2000 and 2001. Beyond that, I came across the Postal Service's KCRW Session from a few years back which was amazing. Perhaps better than (gasp) the album itself. To top it off, I just came across an Amy Millan Cover of "I Will Follow You Into the Dark". It's very country-ish.

I share your gibbard obsession. I have around 30 death cab shows from 98-2007 and alot of gibbard stuff too. Including a solo show from early 01 that has a freaking amazing setlist of songs he never plays like rules broken (atq), no joy in mudville, your bruise, etc etc.

I actually posted that one a while ago just search gibbard on the blog search if you want it.
